One size does not fit all : be your own culinary critic !
It's true, reputable culinary guides and online customer reviews do exist so, what's the point of making one as well?
Well, first, if gastronomic guides are famous and able to test thousands of restaurants every year to reference the best, the Michelin, the Gault & Millau or the Bib Gourmand are still guides : they have their own identity. From this identity derives a set of criterias and preferences used to evaluate restaurants.
This is why there is not only one guide. The Michelin is reknown for its "macarons", its attachment to "la Haute Gastronomie", a certain technicality and standing, while the Bib Gourmand looks for restaurants with the best value for money.
So guides have an identity and we can trust them to make our choices, but this identity may not fit us.
Conversely, online reviews made by customers have neither indentity nor base. Specifically, where a guide tests several restaurants once, online reviews only rate one establishment several times.
Moreover, not all reviews are reliable and it can be difficult to trust them since the reviewer is unknown to us. We don't know the reviewer's tastes and criterias or even worse, it can be a review made for a commercial purpose
Because it's yours! (and it's fun)
You enjoy eating, testing new restaurants wherever you are? Then, why not creating a guide, a database, containing all the restaurants you have tested according to your criteria or those you have chosen with friends?
After all, if an anonymous review on a site doesn't often appeal to you, when a friend says, "Hey mate! I went to XXX yesterday, you should go one day: it was delicious!", this review is worth it.
Do you like "bistro", "étoilés", "bouibouis", street food, Indian food, Chinese food or maybe all that? Don't worry !
Thanks to this application you will be able to :
Think about it, the guide that suits you best: it's yours!
Glad you ask! It's quite simple actually ;)
The structure is quite simple, it will only need :
